Chinatown

City Pillar Shrine
The city pillar shrine is a beautiful and elegant temple in Bangkok, situated at the southeast corner of the country. The Thai tradition provides for the erection of a City Pillar by the establishment of every new city. The Bangkok city pillar was erected in April 1782.

Democracy Monument
The Democracy Monument in Bangkok has been built in honor of the June 1932 revolution, which brought about the end of absolute monarchy in Thailand. This public monument, which is the brainchild of Field Marshal Plaek Pibulsonggram, is a must-see in Bangkok.

Grand Palace
Grand Palace is the king's official residence, which was built in 1782. It had been the house of several monarchs of Bangkok for 150 years, before political changes were introduced by the democracy movement.

Vimanmek Mansion Museum
Vimanmek Mansion, located in the compound of the Dusit Palace, on the Ratchawithi Road, is the largest golden teak building of the world. There are 81 rooms in the three story mansion, along with halls and ante-chambers.

Dusit Zoo
Dusit Zoo is located in central Bangkok. One of the most popular recreational and entertainment spots in the city, the zoo is flocked by Thai families, especially on weekends.

Siam Ocean World
Siam Ocean World, spreading over an area of 10,000 square meters, is one of the largest aquariums in Southeast Asia. There is a shopping mall in the basement of Siam Ocean World .
